Sovereignty
Discretion is a policy. Data residency is a place. We bind both: the file lives in Canada, under Québec and federal law, whether the principal is next door or a continent away.

Every credential is a person: principal, counsel, investigator, student on the contract. Shared logins are a breach.
Ingress is recorded. Exports are exceptional and written. If a file leaves the vault, we know who took it.
We do not circulate your intent to “see who is interested.” Matching to a faculty happens under the NDA, with your leave.
Publication is off unless the contract says otherwise. Students sign the same silence as professors. Prior art is handled with counsel.
You may sit in Zürich, Dubai, Singapore, or São Paulo. The work product remains a Canadian-hosted object.

Professors and graduate researchers are contracted. Laboratory machines are booked. Models and data return to the Canadian repository; they do not remain as a second source of truth on a campus share. Where an institution requires its own research agreement, that agreement is nested under the same NDA and residency clauses.
